The White Bear Hotel - Shipston-on-Stour

We enjoyed great pub grub after our distillery tour, and the cozy atmosphere with good ales was unbeatable.

The room is a little dated.

The restaurant had a lot of outstanding meals for breakfast. We had a friendly service, substantial breakfast. It was so sweet to get ironing free of charge too. The location of the hotel was unbeatable and magnificent - approx 10-15 minutes' walk from Parish Centre.

I had an incredible stay here! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the huge burgers that were perfectly seasoned. The breakfast was freshly cooked and so satisfying. I would definitely choose to stay again!

Spent 3 nights at The White Bear and really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. The breakfast offered a nice variety, fresh ingredients made everything taste great. We had a lovely view from our room's bay window. The stairs to our room were pretty narrow and steep, made carrying our luggage a bit tricky. One evening, we heard a lot of noise from the bar downstairs, but it quieted down after we fell asleep. I wish they had given us clearer info on breakfast hours. We missed it on our last day because no one mentioned the timings. The staff were friendly, but there was a bit of a wait when checking in.

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, free wi-fi in rooms, all contributed to a pleasant overnight experience during our two-day getaway, especially given the super clean double room with a private bathroom where we felt completely at home.

The highlight was the lunch at the pub. The beer-battered fish in a baguette was mouthwatering, paired with perfectly light onion rings. For an early night, consider checking the schedule for karaoke nights as it's lively.
